MIRRORED SUBLIME
MODEL: LIDA STRODL
Out of my 3 sophomore apparel projects, MIRRORED SUBLIME was conceptualized first. I gently hand-dyed 100% silk charmeuse and silk chiffon with dragonfruit skins, resulting in a unique muted pink tint. The design itself was inspired by vintage silk sleepwear- elegant and comfortable, with delicate lace detailing.
The ribbon, the focal piece of the bustier top, is constructed of many small silk pieces sewn together. This creates a unique mosaic-like pattern, accentuating the texture of the piece.
The V-shaped waistband combined with the gathered design of the bloomers accentuate the feminine silhouette.
